The most confounding part of this book was our protagonist, Marion. Marion and John don’t have much in common, apart from the secrets that are kept locked up in their cellar. ![]() She has spent the entirety of her life in the shadows of her academic brother, often baring the brunt of her mothers disappointment. Marion has no children, no job, no relationships or any achievements to note. The Visitors follows the life of Marion a middle aged woman who lives in her family home with her dysfunctional older brother, John. ![]() It provides intrigue, mystery and suspense, it lives up to everything we crave from a thriller. ‘A decent thriller’ would be my basic summary of this book. ‘You are the kind evil that comes from nothing, from neglect and loneliness.” ![]()
